The Brumby lineage resumes after a 3 year break

Well here we go (again) ... our FITH little tool box (2017), named Bradley (after its last owner) we hope this will be the Keeper and the last one.

This brumby is very much a work in progress

1992 Subaru Brumby:

Red, painted spoked rims, Alloy Bull bar and Towbar

Buddies / Fix-ups: (late May 2017)

• Primary thermo fan burnt out (seized)

• Scrape out mud from front suspension, engine bay and radiator

• Gap in windscreen rubber that has flooded the passenger side floor

• New tinted laminated windscreen and rubber, the wiper arms left a nast scratch in the windscreen and the windscreen rubber had shrunk badly
  

• Replacement car radio antenna.

• Heater did not work, had to remove and clean the water valve and replace the jammed open thermostat (rusty which is a worry)

• Fit a REAL fuel filler cap and retire the half tennis ball that had been used, shame on you previous owner.

• Visit subawreck to get numerous parts, including the missing belly plate.

• Remove the bodgy wiring for the non existent spot lights (bare wires everywhere)

• Tighten the nuts securing the DASH on the passenger side, could lift it up 20 mm, so rattles rattles and more rattles are being chased

• Replace the MY seats with those from a Gen 1 Liberty (very nice)

• L series interior light (much better than original)

2018 and on

• A fully reconditioned steering rack (expensive experience)

• New front discs, new master cylinder and both rear slave cylinders.

• Replacement Halogen lights and wiring to reduce voltage drop on Hi Beam

• Narva spot lights

• A "Headlights on" warning beeper fitted. New LED front indicators
  

• Over size rear brake shoes and skimmed brake drums

• 2 inch lift kit made by Paul Kinnear (of SubaWreck fame) installed in 2020 by Paul himself

• Remote central locking

• Sound deading installed in roof and door to stop drumming from those large pannels.

• Oil leak fix up around the pump (front crank seal needs to be done)

• Door speaker pods and storage from a VS commodore, the judge is still out on whether to keep these

• Sony Mech-less car stereo with USB playback and Bluetooth hands free phone usage.

• Forester Jack (original jack no longer of any use once lift kit installed)

	After a few hours of high pressure cleaning, the under body mud was so caked on..  the problems when you buy a car from a P plater in the country :-)
185/65/14 tires on quint-essential Speedy Deser rats
	First Gen liberty seats fitted after a lot of sweat and tears but worth every band aid applied
Speaker pod and storage from a VS commodore
	sound deadening and central locking wiring in drivers door
